My name is Maria Dasilva and I am an artist, a mother, a grandmother, and a woman who has learned to turn life’s challenges into something beautiful—quite literally.

When I discovered resin art—vibrant, fluid, unpredictable, and alive. It was as if I had finally found a medium that reflected my own journey. With resin, you can’t control everything. It flows where it wants to, and sometimes the accidents are the most beautiful parts. That spoke to me deeply.

I began making handmade resin pieces—jewelry, trays, coasters, keychains, bookmarks, and more. Every piece is unique, just like every chapter of my life. What started as a hobby quickly became a livelihood. I now sell my art to support myself, not only financially but spiritually. Every sale, every smile from a customer who connects with my work, is a reminder that it’s never too late to live your passion.

This path hasn’t been without struggle. Starting a business at my age, especially in the digital age, is a steep learning curve. But I’ve learned to take every challenge as an opportunity to grow. Social media, online shops, craft fairs—these are now part of my world. I may not be the most tech-savvy, but I have heart, and that’s what matters most.

Through resin, I’ve reclaimed my voice. I’m no longer just someone’s grandma or mother—I’m an artist. And if there’s one thing I want my grandchildren and others to know, it’s this: You’re never too old to start something new. You’re never too late to be who you were meant to be.
